We are seeking a Property Accountant to play a key role within our growing organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for managing accounting activities.

Main Responsibilities
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
Accounting and Financial Statements
- Manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of properties.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
- Record accounting entries, monthly adjustments, and year-end entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Manage the final billing of operating expenses (taxes, energy, 13th invoice, etc.) in accordance with lease agreements.
- Prepare monthly GST/QST filings.
Analysis and Budget Monitoring
- Analyze variances between actual results and approved budgets.
- Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and forecast updates.
- Produce and validate financial reports and performance indicators.
- Support property managers in interpreting their financial results.
Management
- Ensure compliance with established deadlines.
- Apply existing accounting policies and maintain internal controls.
Collaboration
- Validate financial information received from property managers and partners.
- Work closely with the operations team, management, and external partners.
- Maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders.
Special Projects and Continuous Improvement
- Participate in year-end processes and respond to external auditors’ requests.
- Contribute to various projects aimed at optimizing accounting processes.
Skills Profile and Required Qualifications
YOUR PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Your autonomy, team spirit, and strong organizational skills will be major assets in this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-entity real estate accounting (mandatory);
- Proficiency with Hopem software (mandatory);
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills;
- Ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
