Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Financial Director to play a key role in our treasury and accounting management. The person will be based in our Montreal office, located near Crémazie metro station.

Main Responsibilities

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

You will play a crucial role in our growing company. Reporting to the Vice-President Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all our cash management and accounting activities.

Your first task will be to analyze and update our cash flow management model, integrating the movements of the various network companies. You will monitor cash flow and debt on a project-by-project basis, ensuring that cash is available for monthly payments.

As a banking system administrator, you will determine and set up the services essential for the smooth running of operations, while ensuring the security of financial data. You will present your analyses, findings and solutions clearly and concisely to management.

On the accounting side, you will prepare and validate financial statements, calculate provisions for building operating costs, and carry out budget variance analyses.

You will also be responsible for invoicing lease operating costs and tax returns (GST/QST). Your role will also involve supervising the accounting team, coordinating the budget process with other departments, and reviewing financial statements prior to presentation to the VP Finance.

Your expertise and ability to manage multiple financial aspects effectively will be essential to our success and your continued growth.

Skills Profile and Required Qualifications

YOUR PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance with accounting certification (CPA);
  • Minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience (real estate accounting, analysis, budgeting, preparation of financial statements) in a position with similar responsibilities;
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in team management;
  • Proficiency in Office suite, particularly Excel.
